NCNW

As of last weekend I’ve been accepted as an official member of NCNW (National Council of Negro Women), an organization founded by Mary McLeod Bethune. One its most famous presidents was Dorothy Height, a close friend and mentor to President Obama and a best friend to Farrell Chiles. The March On Washington with Martin Luther King, Jr may not have happened without Dorothy Heights help. The organization promotes education, with focus on science and technology, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and great health to empower African American women to be leaders in their community. I’m only 14. There’s so much to learn. 5KaDay4Food is a great bridge to connect NCNW with New Earth because its an emergency health program feeding people struggling with Covid.
