It was really hot today. Most of the heat was up north in the Portland, Oregon area. They had reports of it being up to 116 degrees up there. We waited an additional hour to start our run today to be safe. We drank lots of water to keep as hydrated as possible. It helps to remember my running a 5K is going to help a lot of people hurt by Covid finally be able to eat or get some groceries without stressing. On a day like this the world needs ice cream.
